Well i'm 2 days shy of 25 weeks, but I like to schedule my monthly check ups on Fridays. Today my OB spent some time going over all my questions I had for delivery and having 2nd opinions done. He is actually glad I'm getting a 2nd opinion and thinks its wise. I told him that I'm looking into Hope Children's Hospital in Oak Lawn since a number of people told me that they saw two highly respected doctors there. He said its a great hospital and thinks it would be good that I go there as well.
I'm measuring bigger then I should be (I did the same with Zander), he said he wouldn't normally be worried but since we have issues, he wanted to do an ultrasound to check the amniotic fluid. He just wanted to make sure there wasn't too much of it. Of course, then I started to freak out a bit, but calmed down until I saw her on the screen. She's huge! My little peanut is so much bigger then 2 weeks ago. Its truly amazing how fast they grow. I have a little bit of excess amniotic fluid, but nothing that seemed alarming. She's laying side ways (traverse) (and has been since week 20), so he thinks that I could be measuring big because of her position. So far in the last 3 appointments, she likes laying horizontal. To be honest, I'm hoping she doesn't go head down. I'd rather them just cut me and grab her immediately.
At this point, he's still wanting a vaginal delivery, but if Zoe doesn't change positions (obviously I still have time) I'll have a C-Section. I'm guessing my little girl is trying to make me feel a little better. She likes to lay sideways and doesn't really flip around, so I'm thinking she doesn't want me stressed about a vaginal delivery and just have a C-Section. I have 15 weeks or less, so only time will tell!
