Lots to be thankful for

Mike & I have a lot to be thankful for.  First and foremost, our precious son Zander.  Secondly, Zoe.  I could list everything else, but the list would be too long to type out. Thanksgiving isn't just about turkey and football, so  I hope you all take a minute and think about all the positives in your life and be extremely thankful.

Dr. Gotteiner from Children's Memorial e-mailed me this morning and confirmed everything that Dr. Saroli found last week.  Which, Mike & I figured she would.  Tomorrow is our 2nd opinion with Dr. Cuneo at Hope Children's in Oak Lawn.  We go back to Children's Memorial on December 12th.

Our friend MJ (Mary Jo) works at Trinity Hospital in the cardiology department.  She had her doctors review our records as well.  Since the reports were from week 20 and week 22, they basically said the same thing as Children's did.  It could be this, it could be that, we see that, but since her heart is so little, you won't know until birth.  At least in my heart I know our doctors are on the right page.  And I appreciate our friends reaching out to us to help in any way possible.

With the help of my blog, one of Mike's friends contacted him on facebook stating that her sister is an NICU nurse at Northwestern.  Her sister, contacted Mike & I and gave us reassurance that they are a great team and that Zoe's file is already located in their "upcoming baby arrivals".  Its great knowing that the team will be prepared for our little girls arrival.

I hope to update the blog sometime tomorrow, but Mike is in his "nesting" phase (yes he did call it that).  We're repainting, adding new flor tiles, moving furniture, etc. this weekend.  We're also taking the Zman to see Jolly Old St. Nick tomorrow.  Wonder how my little man will do considering he's fearless.

So wish us luck tomorrow.  I'm assuming they will see everything that Dr. Gotteiner & Dr. Saroli have found.  We just would like a 2nd opinion for our own peace of mind.  And I know that I did everything possible for little Zoe Fiona-Grace.
