Yesterday afternoon while I was taking a nap we received the last phone call from the Genetic Counselor. What great news to receive after this long week of having contractions all day long. If you remember from my previous posts, in addition to getting the FISH results and all the other syndromes tested through the amino you can get 2 more additional testing done, more on the rare side of syndromes. Noonan's Syndrome and Micro Deletion. This takes a few extra weeks because they actually have to grow the cells in a petri dish. In my heart I didn't think Zoe had either of these, but still worried me because she has such weird anomalies going on. Again, they were all NORMAL!!!! What a sense of relief. So she may in fact have Heterotaxy Syndrome but nothing will be for certain until after she's born.
Last night my mom came into Chicago to spend the night since Mike works today. I actually thought we were heading back into the hospital since I was contracting for 5 hours less than 3 minutes apart. Some were so painful to make me cry, but I know if I could still walk, they would just send me home. I took some benedryl to help me sleep. I still woke up with them in the middle of the night, but they seemed to have lessened. So, she's still fighting to say inside, however I'm rooting for her to make her debut because I'm in constant agony.
34 weeks today!
What wonderful news!
